Student Media Report from the ICC Weapons Blockade
At this blockade, protesters, medics and journalists alike were pepper-sprayed, brutalised and set upon by police in ways that have rarely been seen at a Sydney city protest in our generation. Student journalists for Honi Soit, Noise@UNSW, the Tert and Vertigo share their experiences.

The Golem
He came to life (what a glorious mitzvah). The air seemed to stand still around him. I could feel my own breath, being dragged into the cracks of his skin, into the hollow sockets of his eyes, the aching depth of his mouth. Your son. My son. I gave him Your name,
Tsur; rock.

Left (Behind)
Our friends scream and I’m squeezed and surrounded by love. We dance and as we twirl and dip I pull out strands of her elaborate braid, one at a time. We all deserve to be free. I may be covered from head to toe but she’s looking at me like it’s our first night alone. She could eat me alive.

Breaking the System’s Shell
We must break from our shells governments have forced onto us, and organise on the streets of our campus' to ensure all ties with genocide are cut. We cut ties with the Israeli Institute of Technology (Technion), but that is the first tie we have cut, certainly not the last.
