Suburban Loneliness

‘Suburban Loneliness’ is a visual exploration of my time spent in Blackheath for a good part of 2020. My sister is the subject in several of the images. This series aims to explore the subtle, cinematic energy of suburbia. The loneliness I felt in 2020 was a motivator for this series, where I aimed to emphasise the great narrative power of isolated spaces. For me, loneliness in this time strengthened me, bringing periods of quiet reflection and appreciation of small details.
