Meet Polina Pashkov. 3rd year BCII and Communications (Media Arts Production) Student at UTS
Polina Pashkov is the slightly serious, slightly kooky, slightly straight-talking perfect producer of Hairspray. When she’s not making it happen in Hairspray, you can find her basically making everything else happen. She’s that kind of girl, the one who no matter what she’s up to, you know its gonna be great. And as I’ve found out, she’s great to hang out with too.
WHAT IS HAIRSPRAY? (To you)
Polina: Hairspray is a musical production that’s literally become my life * laughs hysterically* I shit, I eat hairspray, I wake up with Hairspray.
WHAT GIVES YOU THE SHITS AS A PRODUCER
Polina: The stress. I’m dealing with 17 characters!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING PRODUCER?
Polina: *evil smirk* Control. *meanwhile Jake is pointing to himself, to no avail*
I love the team, love the cast, love everyone. Its a lot of work and i didn’t anticipate it at first, and now I love it. I like being important.
Jake (The Director): She’s good at what she does!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE 60’S
Polina: The greater freedom of speech, I suppose. We wouldn’t be judged for our generation, I could dance and do shit. I just hate lockout laws
IF YOU DID LIVE IN THE 60’S…WHAT WOULD YOU MISS THE MOST (FROM NOW)
Polina: I’d hate Tracy Turnblad. I’d hate not having technology, imagine the nightmare phone experiences
IF YOU COULD
STEAL PLAY ANOTHER CHARACTER/ROLE IN HAIRSPRAY, WHAT WOULD YOU PLAY/DO?
Polina: Amber! She’s bitchy, she’s whiny, she’s just me.
SELL ME HAIRSPRAY IN 3 WORDS
Polina: You. Are. Cut.
