Fruit of the Womb
This collection of work is taken from ‘Fruit of the Womb’, a zine that I had made in February of 2019. In it, I only scratch the surface of personal perspectives, as well as choices, that surround sex and sensuality. Fruit, a symbol femininity and fertility, is employed as a vessel to illustrate the complexities of womanhood. Through this mode the works highlight the demanding and at times destructive relationship between body, spirit, and external influence. Within these illustration and short poems, I bare my own insecurities and fragmented understandings of these pressures and desires.
